Fords have a tendency to have the front engine cover gasket leak quite often, which is what the shop suspects has happened, but without disassembling it, we can't be sure. Basically there is either a gasket failure or cracked part on the engine allowing the coolant and oil to mix

I also put a low mileage clutch on it with a low mileage transmission. So I had a spare 1.7 fuel engine with about 125k miles on it. The downsides of this car are that it needs quite a bit of work, no question, but I've owned 4 of these pickups over the years and this one is the straightest body I've ever had

I have had this bus for a couple years now and don't know much about its history and also have know very little about volkswagen's. The body is probably the best part i picked it up in vegas so it has very little rust, the glass is all in and the windshield is the only one with a crack in it. I think all the seats are in it and has boxes of parts like seat belt's and hubcaps. The engine block and trn's are in but it looks like the carb and intake is missing. The steel rollcage, bulletproof exterior, and endless right angles makes me pity any car that has ever had a collision with one of these. I already have the driver side one ready to be put in and they sell for $4 on rockauto. Com - rear left taillight kit and taillight connectors/circutboards. The stock boards on these things are prone to corrosion so i hand wired it but it's not a longterm solution. (~ $100 for all the necessary parts). I'm in no rush to see it gone.
